While no public space on the internet is foolproof or 100% safe, our community strives to be respectful, inclusive, and welcoming as possible. The Moon Palace is QTPOC-owned and takes the safety and respect of marginalized identities seriously. We do not claim to be a safe space, but do our best to set rules, guidelines, and expectations to help those with marginalized identities feel as safe and included as possible. It is not up to us to decide if our space is safe; we leave that decision to those who occupy it.
We will not tolerate bigotry or harmful rhetoric, speech, or imagery that harms marginalized people or threatens/infringes upon their rights.
Discussions regarding politics affecting marginalized identities may occur in our space. We will not stop individuals belonging to marginalized identities and/or groups from expressing themselves, or sharing their concerns and/or lived experiences. However, this is not a space to primarily debate or talk about triggering/distressing political or real-world topics. Moderators may use discretion and ask for a change in subject if necessary.
We have a zero-tolerance policy against any abuse, harassment, bigotry, and/or hate speech. This includes, but is not limited to:
Please note that this list is not comprehensive, and is subject to changes and additions at any given time.
While we are aware that not everyone lives in the United States, the server owner and multiple members of the moderation team are marginalized individuals living within it. Any individuals that align with the beliefs, ideology, and propaganda of the Republican Party/GOP or any right-wing organization are not welcome in our space and will be removed. There will be no “both sides” rhetoric within this space, as disagreements are for pizza toppings and not human rights.
We will remove members who willingly associate with abusers and/or bigots. Enabling abusive behavior or harmful rhetoric will not be tolerated.
Additionally, while we understand the harm that cisheteropatriarchy inflicts and upholds, we ask that people do not make abrasive, rude, or hateful comments toward or about men or people who are AMAB. Gay men, trans men, and transmascs exist, as well as men within other marginalized communities. Criticizing toxic masculinity and cisheteropatriarchy is acceptable; blanket statements about men or painting ALL men as abusers/predators is not.
